Kuala Kangsar Day 1 - 3rd Jan 2015
Around 60 volunteers involved with this mission and divided into 3 big groups for 3 evacuation centers.
I was glad that I was part of the team. They were fully cooperative and respect each other eventhough that day was the day we met for the first time. High spirited volunteers.
I was assigned to the third evacuation center, Sekolah Agama Raban and our task were to help the villagers that need help to clean their houses that were hit by flood. Not all the houses can be cleaned. Some of them still submerged in the flood about my calf level.
It looked worst that what i expect. The smell. The mud. Oh, you may also find fish while cleaning. Not to mention over expand dead rat that may explode on touch. Fortunately we didn't find any reptiles. We delegated our task and divided ourselves to five to six small groups. I find it quite hard for me to clean and update the situation at the same time. Luckily my group members were hardworking. sorry teammates.
It was a new experience for me. And I love each and every piece of it.
The situation at one of the victim's house. Initially, the flood water at their wrist's level and it took about 2 weeks for the water to subside.
I'm in love with this picture. My squad leader with one of the villager on motorbike. Can you see the flood water. After two weeks, it still not fully receded.
Again, I'm proud of this team. Cooperative and flexible. They are highly recommended for any mission. kekekeke
This time, the flood is quite bad.
A family lost a shelter from hot and cold.
Kids lost their new school uniform.
May Allah guards and protect them warmly.
